Best Hollywood Suspense Movies

1) Shutter Island (2010)

Directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo in lead. This movie revolves around a man who is trying to solve the case of his wife. This movie makes you struggle for finding the truth. This story plays with your mind and creates some illusions in which you suddenly start believing. Good acting with a great storyline definitely this is recommended by me.

2) The Prestige (2006)

Directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale. This movie is the story of two magicians who trying to impress and attract an audience. They play tricks that gather more audience. Soon this both magicians start competing with each other. Then they try to present better to best so more audience give them attention. This movie gives an illusion that hides the truth. Keep on movie make us guess the truth but somewhere we will be lost. Christopher Nolan has the charm to confuse the audience with his stories and by this movie he did the same thing. You will confuse somewhere in the movie but till the end, you will be satisfied.

3) Searching (2018)

Directed by Aneesh Chaganty and starring John Cho, Debra Messing. This is the story of a missing girl and her father trying to find out her. This simple story has so many secrets which slowly unfold. The movie showed in a unique way by visuals to visuals through technology devices. The movie has an intresting storyline and very nicely presented. This will be surely a treat for suspense lovers.

4) Prisoners (2013)
 
Directed by Denis Villeneuve and starring Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal. This movie revolves around the kidnap of a kid. Then kid parents and police try to search for the missing child. This simple kidnapping story takes turns, twists that surely surprise you. This movie story has the power to keep your interest till the end. Good acting with a great storyline definitely you going to love this film.

5) Fight Club (1999)

Directed by David Fincher starring Brad Pitt, Edward Norton. This is the story of two friends. In two friends one having a dream of making a fight club where local people can fight with each other for fun. This story has different ladders and in the end, it reaches a surprising conclusion. This is one of the suspense movies which completely hides the truth behind its presentation. In the end, it reveals one truth that changes the whole story of the movie. Nicely presented story and good acting definitely deserve your watch.

6) The Sixth Sense (1999)

Directed by M. Night Shyamalan starring Bruce Willis. This is the story of a child psychologist who dealing with his patients. The movie has an emotional touch that makes us connect with the characters. The movie is nicely presented which creates a wall between us and truth. But we start believing the lie which is presented and in the end, we will smile, accept the truth. Night Shyamalan always impresses us with his movies. In this movie, he did some amazing work and Bruce Willis's performance makes it better.
